New solutions for the manufacturing of composite parts and SMC semi-finished materials bring even more efficiency and process control – Schmidt & Heinzmann presents AutoCut Pick&Place and Cube

Making a good process even better – Schmidt & Heinzmann will show how this can be achieved at the leading trade fair for fiber composite materials “JEC WORLD” in Paris from March 05th – 07th. The company will be presenting solutions for the automated manufacturing of components as well as SMC semi-finished materials at the Baden-Württemberg Pavilion in Hall 6, Booth N82.

With the AutoCut Pick&Place customers will be able to produce their stacks from SMC or dry fiber fabrics even more efficiently in the future, as the new solution combines several process steps and the new SMC line Cube makes the production of SMC semi-finished materials fit for the future. With its fundamental new design as well as control and sensor technology the system meets all current and future requirements for a modern production line.

TOP 100 Award officially handed over to Schmidt & Heinzmann

On June 23rd, the TOP 100 Innovation Awards were pre-sented at the German SME Summit in Augsburg. The award ceremony honors all medium-sized companies that received the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. In the competition, which was held for the 30th time, Schmidt & Heinzmann particularly impressed in the category “External Orientation / Open Innovation”.

Camera system of Schmidt & Heinzmann wins AVK Innovation Award

Schmidt & Heinzmann achieves 2nd place of the AVK Innovation Award in the category “Innovative Processes & Methods” with its newly developed camera system “Pole Position”. The system, which detects the positioning and orientation of carbon fibers, will be used in the automated production of CFRP components in the future. It will be integrated directly into the company’s cutting & stacking cells, which cut fabrics from dry fibers and consolidate the individual layers into a stack. The award ceremony took place during the “JEC DACH Forum” on 29th November in Augsburg, Germany.

Schmidt & Heinzmann expands product portfolio with deburring cell – Solution will be presented at JEC World

Schmidt & Heinzmann is showing its newly developed deburring cell from 03.05. – 05.05.2022 at the JEC World in Paris (hall 6 booth N72). This new development is the logical extension of the company’s product portfolio, which covers almost the entire manufacturing and processing process for composite materials: from the manufacturing of semi-finished material, through the cutting and stacking of the individual layers, to press automation. Schmidt & Heinzmann receives ThinKing Award

The cutting & stacking center of Schmidt & Heinzmann cuts and stacks cuts from dry fiber fabric and precisely stacks them into a stack. Thanks to an optimal coordination of hardware and software, it is also possible to react flexibly to changes. If necessary, the program sequence is recalculated. This combination of flex-ibility and precision combined with economic efficiency enables the production of cost-efficient lightweight components for a wide variety of industries. This is why the cutting & stacking center has been awarded with the ThinKing December 2021.
